I chose to craft two lessons that would come from a Social Studies unit about Native Americans.
The first lesson deals with the idea of cultural manifestations (stories and legends in this case) and the importance of those manifestations to maintaining the unity of the society. The students, after the lecture, begin writing their own stories following the example of Native traditions.
The second lesson builds off of this. The students revise their work and post it online. The interaction between the students during this process is the "trick" to the lesson. I like the idea of "inadvertently" teaching- establishing situations in which students can inevitably teach each other.
